Week 2đŸŒ» “Whatever happens I can handle it — because
”

For Week 2 of the Winter Sunflower Challenge, we’re using another line from my free course 8 Prompts for What’s Ahead—and adding the same powerful word as last week.

Not just: “Whatever happens I can handle it.”
But: “Whatever happens I can handle it — because
”

In the Be Extraordinary programme (Mindvalley) there’s a concept I love called the Reverse Gap. Instead of obsessing over how far you still have to go, you look back at how far you’ve already come.

Because happiness and self-trust now are what fuel your goals—not the other way around.

This week’s move (60–120 seconds)
1ïžâƒŁ Think of something you’re worried about this week.
2ïžâƒŁ Write: “Whatever happens I can handle it — because I’ve already handled
 [past challenge].”
3ïžâƒŁ Underneath, list 2–3 quick proof points, for example:

  • “I finished my degree while working part-time.”
  • “I moved to a new country and built a life.”
  • “I got through that difficult conversation with my manager.”
4ïžâƒŁ Put it where you’ll see it and read it once aloud.

Why it works (science, no fluff)
You’re using the Reverse Gap to update your story.

  • Your Default Mode Network (DMN) gets a more accurate narrative: you do handle hard things.
  • Your Reticular Activating System (RAS) is nudged to notice evidence that you can cope, instead of only scanning for danger.

That calms the threat response and frees up energy for the next step.

Make it yours (keep it tiny)

  • Studying again? “
because I got through my last assignment even when I thought I’d fail.”
  • At work? “
because I’ve already survived one restructuring and found my feet.”
  • Life / health? “
because I’ve rebuilt my routines after tough times before.”

Pick proof that feels real, even if it’s small.

Reflect (evening)
Did anything challenging happen today?
How did I handle it?
Write one line: “Today I handled
” and add it to your list. Over time, you’re building a written record your brain can’t argue with.

Try it this week and, if you’re happy to share, tell me one “I handled
” example in the comments.

Question
What’s one real piece of evidence that you can handle more than your brain gives you credit for?
