This Reset is about building momentum. Each week we add a new prompt, so by the end you’ll have a set of 8 that reinforce one another.
Prompt 1 was: It is going to be a great day.
Today we add Prompt 2: Something cool is going to happen today.
Adapted from Mel Robbins’ “8 Things to Tell Yourself Every Morning” (11 Sept). This second prompt is grounded in brain science: expecting something good primes your brain to look for positives. The Reticular Activating System (RAS) — your brain’s filter — starts noticing small joys, surprises, or opportunities you might otherwise miss.
👉 Morning Prompts:
- It is going to be a great day.
- Something cool is going to happen today.
👉 Evening Reflection:
Take 5 minutes to reflect on both: Where did your day go well? And what cool thing — no matter how small — showed up?
(The photo is of a rainbow over the mountains taken from my terrace in Spain, how cool is that)
Your brain is always listening, see the video below.
Why this works: A positive expectation tunes your RAS to notice opportunities you might otherwise miss.
