Most people don’t fail because they’re not capable.
They stall because they’re trying to do it alone.
Here’s the quiet truth I see again and again (in study, career change, leadership, life):
When you’re overwhelmed, your “default setting” becomes self-reliance.
Push harder. Figure it out. Don’t bother anyone. Keep going.
But staying power rarely comes from white-knuckling.
It comes from support that gives you:
- Clarity (what matters most right now)
- Accountability (a structure that keeps you moving)
- Strategy (a way through the stuck points)
That’s why Tony Robbins talks about coaching as a catalyst: not because you’re broken — but because support helps you see what you can’t see when you’re inside the problem.
The shift
Default setting: “I should be able to do this on my own.”
New setting: “Support is part of how I succeed.”
The Move (60–120 seconds)
Pick one support action for this week:
- Ask: Send a simple message:
“Could I have 10 minutes to think this through with you?” - Structure: Create a tiny accountability anchor:
“By Friday, I will ________.” (one line) - Choose: Decide what kind of support you need most:
clarity / confidence / consistency / strategy
Because your brain is always listening: when you name Support as the setting, you start noticing who and what can help you move.
This is exactly how I coach sustained progress inside Your Move, Your Game, Your Future — Leading to Your Legacy.

Question: What’s one small way you could let support in this week — so you don’t have to carry your goals alone

WEEK FIVE: MEANING
