Your calendar teaches your brain what matters.
I have been thinking about Shane Parrish’s idea in Clear Thinking that rules help life run more smoothly.
We follow rules every day — on roads, in queues, at work — because they reduce confusion and protect what matters.
I think boundaries work like that too.
They are personal rules that help us protect our time, energy, and future.
This image shows one of mine.
Every morning I read these words:
I am love-led, I grow, deliver, empower.
It helps me remember how I want to show up, and that helps me set better boundaries around my time, attention, and energy.
This week’s move:
Put one 25-minute block in your calendar called Future-me move and protect it like a meeting.
Small rules can create stronger boundaries.
And stronger boundaries can make life feel calmer.
You can also find the full mini-course on my website in the Courses section
What is one boundary that would make your week calmer?
All the best
Julie
