We’ve reached the final step in this 4-week Reset series. Each day builds on the last — a set of 8 prompts that train your brain to notice progress, resilience, and possibility.
Prompts so far:
- It is going to be a great day.
- Something cool is going to happen today.
- Whatever happens, I can handle it.
- An exciting new chapter in my life is starting today.
- I deserve to give myself more credit for how hard I am working.
- I’m allowed to be a work in progress.
- If I keep showing up, life will reward me.
Prompt 8 is: I make a valuable contribution to the world.
Adapted from Mel Robbins’ “8 Things To Tell Yourself Every Morning” (11 Sept). This one is about self-worth and noticing impact. We often overlook our contributions, focusing instead on what we didn’t achieve. But neuroscience tells us: when you affirm contribution, the Reticular Activating System (RAS) starts tuning into evidence of the ways you do make a difference. Small actions, consistent effort, kindness — they matter more than you realise.
👉 Morning Prompts (all 8):
Now include Prompt 8 to the 7 you are already using!
👉 Evening Reflection:
Take 5 minutes to reflect on all 8. Especially ask yourself: What was one way I contributed today? It doesn’t need to be dramatic — often, the small things make the biggest impact. The photo is a word cloud made my testimonials, I am so proud!!
Because: Your brain is always listening see the video below
📌 Save this post so you can return to all 8 prompts whenever you need a reset.
Why this works: Naming your contribution focuses the RAS on meaningful signals and opportunities to act on them.
