Monday Reset: small, research-based moves for anyone feeling a bit stuck. Week 3 — Remove one step of friction (so you actually begin)

Overwhelm doesn’t always look dramatic.
Sometimes it looks like not starting.

A small table, two chairs, my laptop… and a corner that’s quietly becoming my reset space (See photo here).

After my Dad died, I didn’t think I’d find a place where I could work and relax (I used to live with him when I am in the UK). So this little set-up matters more than it “should”.

I’ve also had Marie Forleo’s phrase in my head lately: “Everything is figureoutable.”
To me, the power of it isn’t motivation. It’s permission.

Not: “I must solve everything today.”
But: “I can find the next step.”

You’re rarely short on capability, you’re usually short on clear runway.

Your 60–120 second Move (do it today):

  1. Pick the thing you’ve been avoiding.
  2. Identify the first annoying step (finding the file, opening the deck, working out what to say).
  3. Remove it now: open the doc, write the first line, paste the link where you’ll see it, set the notes out, leave it ready.
  4. Do 60 seconds only. Stop or continue by choice.

That’s how “figureoutable” becomes real:
not through willpower… through making the start easier.

If you’d like the full 8-week series, it’s on my Growth Hub (Courses).

Question: What’s one tiny step you could remove tonight so tomorrow’s work starts itself?

All the best

Julie
