This week we keep building that mindset muscle. Prompt 6 brings us closer to compassion with ourselves, and clarity about what change already is.
Prompts so far:
- It is going to be a great day.
- Something cool is going to happen today.
- Whatever happens, I can handle it.
- An exciting new chapter in my life is starting today.
- I deserve to give myself more credit for how hard I am working.
Prompt 6: I’m allowed to be a work in progress.
Adapted from Mel Robbins’ “8 Things To Tell Yourself Every Morning” (11 Sept). The research shows that giving yourself permission to not yet be perfect helps reduce self-criticism, encourages learning, and allows you to see gradual growth. When you say this, your Reticular Activating System (RAS) begins to notice even the small signs of progress — the micro-wins, the attempts, the effort, even when the outcome isn’t yet clear.
👉 Morning Prompts:
Now include Prompt 6 to the 5 you are already using!
👉 Evening Reflection:
Spend 5 minutes reflecting on all six: What went well? What cool thing appeared? What challenge came up & how did I respond? What small shift do I notice in how my mindset or approach is changing? Where did I accept being imperfect today — and what did that feel like?
Because: Your brain is always listening, see the video below
Why this works: Permission lowers friction and keeps your RAS tuned to progress markers rather than perfection blocks.
